Irish Coffee

Ingredients

  • 45ml Irish whiskey
  • 90ml hot black coffee
  • 15ml brown sugar syrup
  • Gently whipped cream (floated on top)

Method

  1. Preheat the Glass: Warm your serving glass by rinsing it with hot water, then discard the water.
  2. Mix the Base: Add the brown sugar syrup to the glass, followed by the Irish whiskey.
  3. Add Coffee: Pour in the hot black coffee and stir gently to combine.
  4. Top with Cream: Carefully float the gently whipped cream on top by pouring it slowly over the back of a spoon.
  5. Serve: Serve immediately without stirring, allowing the drinker to sip the hot coffee through the cool cream.
