Tequila sunrise punch


  • 2 oranges, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups crushed ice, plus extra to serve
  • 1 cup tequila
  • 1 litre chilled orange juice
  • 2 cups chilled soda water
  • 1/3 cup grenadine (see note)
  • Maraschino cherries, to serve


  1. Layer orange slices and crushed ice in a 2.5-litre serving jug.
  2. Pour over the tequila. Top with orange juice and soda water. Pour grenadine into the centre of the orange mixture so it sinks to the bottom. Top with extra crushed ice and cherries. Serve immediately.
